Worship: Worship is the act of giving to God the praise which he is worthy to receive. We do this as a body when we gather to sing, pray, give and listen to the teaching of God’s Word every Sunday.
During the summer (June, July and August), we change from our normal schedule to meet at 10:00 AM. We do not have Sunday School during these months, to honor those who have labored diligently through the year teaching classes and give them a time to rest and refresh. Our worship service starts at 10:00 AM and our Common Meal follows immediately after.
We also add Church picnics on Sundays. Following the service, we will leave church and reconvene at a home or a local park and spend the rest of the day together.
We invite everyone to worship with us in the morning and stay with us as we share food and build relationships with one another. Please call the church to find out more information about the days that we will be having our church picnics.
Sunday School:During the summer we do not have Sunday School. The months of June, July and August are a time that we give to our valuable teachers to rest from teaching and free them to enjoy their vacations and families. Our Sunday School schedule begins again the Sunday after Labor Day.
Sunday School is for every person who desires to learn more about God by studying God’s Word, the Bible, in a small group context. In the adult class, we are studying through the book of Acts. We are looking at the way in which God built, grew and strengthened his people to trust and rejoice in the finished work of Christ.
Our children also are learning about God in their classes, also. Their classes use the material from
Common Meal: Every Sunday we end our time together with a common meal. It gives us the opportunity to relax around the table, eat, catch up on the week, build relationships and encourage one another. If you are a guest, we welcome you to stay for the meal even if you have not brought any food with you. We always have more than enough and we would love the opportunity to serve you and get to know you. The common meal begins about fifteen minutes after the service.
Communion: The first Sunday of every month we observe the Lord’s Table. This is a very special time as we remember the Lord’s sacrifice on our behalf and rejoice in his finished work.
Prayer: Sunday evening is reserved for a time of prayer and fellowship with one another. We take the time to share burdens, encourage one another and lift our hearts to God. Sunday evening prayer meeting begins at 6:00 PM.
Thursday Evening Study: During the middle of the week is a great time to recharge and spend some time with one another in Bible study. We have used this time to study issues that relate to Christian growth and maturity. We recently finished studying the book War of Words, by Paul Tripp. This book called to us to consider that are words are not our own. They were given to us by God to be used for his purposes. Furthermore, our lives are not our own. We are God’s ambassadors, called to use our words in the King’s mission of taking the message of truth to all we meet. We will not be meeting during the summer, but will start a new study in September.
